5 September 2007 MP Urges Residents to Take Part in Hospitals Consultation North East Herts MP Oliver Heald has written to major employers in North Hertfordshire encouraging them to use their influence to ensure that residents are aware of the National Health Service consultation concerning hospitals. The closing date is 1 October 2007. Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “I know that a number of residents feel that because the recommendation in the report is to develop The Lister Hospital, that they do not need to respond to the consultation. This is quite wrong. The other options are still on the table and residents should not be complacent. It is vital that everybody who cares about this issue responds to the consultation. I have asked local employers to help with the necessary information.”
