16 October 2007 MP at LIFE Passing Out Parade North East Herts MP Oliver Heald attended the Sixth LIFE Scheme “Pass Out Parade” at Longfield Fire and Rescue Centre in Stevenage, where the young people are able to display their skills acquired during the course. Also present was Fire Chief Roy Wilsher and North Herts Council Chairman, Alan Bardett. Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “I was very impressed at the exercises performed by the young people. This training scheme is excellent and clearly allows young people to acquire skills and experience teamwork. I hope it will be possible for the County Council and the Fire Service to continue this worthwhile scheme.”
