17 October 2007 MP Presses the Case Against Westbury Closure Commenting on the decision to close Westbury School, North East Herts MP Oliver Heald said, “I have been contacted by many parents concerned about the decision to close Westbury School.  “The next stage of the campaign will be for letters of objection to be sent to the County Council. I have immediately made representations to County Councillor Robert Gordon and I know that County Councillor Keith Emsall is continuing to support local residents. It is clear that the closure of the school will cause difficulties for many people and that is why I am continuing to support local residents and to take the issue up with the County Council.” Oliver Heald had made representations against the closure of Westbury School.
