MP Hears Residents’ Concern Over JM Building

On Saturday, North East Herts MP Oliver Heald met a group of residents from Orchard Way, Weston Avenue and Rock Road, to hear their concerns about the new production building being built on the Johnson Matthey site.

Oliver was also able to see the view of the building from the gardens of the Orchard Way houses immediately backing onto the site.

Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “"I was surprised by the height and mass of the building, which completely dwarfs the surrounding residential area. I have already asked for a full briefing from the NHDC Planning Department, as I want to be sure that the correct procedures were followed at all stages. I will also be contacting Johnson Matthey to see what may be done to meet residents' concerns about the development. I shall be keeping in close touch with the residents I met on Saturday."
