23 August 2007 MP's Shock at Letchworth Garden City Shooting Incident Commenting on today’s incident in Letchworth Garden City, North East Herts MP Oliver Heald said, “It is very rare for there to be shooting incidents in North East Hertfordshire and it is therefore very worrying to hear the news from Pixmore Avenue, Letchworth Garden City.  “I have been in touch with the Police, who have promised to keep me in close touch as the investigation continues.  “It is clear that our society needs to get tough on gun violence and try and encourage people to settle their disputes without resorting to such madness.”
