25 September 2007 MP Opens New Volunteer Centre North East Herts MP Oliver Heald opened the new Volunteer Centre in Third Avenue, Letchworth Garden City. The new Volunteer Centre for North Hertfordshire is in modern premises next to the MS Therapy Centre and replaces the previous office in Bucklersbury, Hitchin. Oliver cut the ribbon to open the Centre with Chairman, Cllr Mike Paterson, and was able to award the Volunteering England Quality Accreditation Award to the Centre. The event was organised by Tracy Livermore.  Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “We are lucky to have so many people in North Hertfordshire who are willing to volunteer as drivers, furniture providers and in many other ways. I was delighted to open the new Centre and award the sought-after Volunteering England Accreditation. These new premises will give a major boost to the CVS locally.”
