25 September 2007 MP Condemns Stabbing Incident in Baldock Commenting on the stabbing of a member of staff at Threshers Wine Merchants in Baldock last night, North East Herts MP Oliver Heald said, “This incident will come as a shock to residents in Baldock. Our thoughts are with the family of the innocent victim and with the shop staff at this difficult time. “I would like to thank the Police for the timely manner in which they responded to this incident. We must send out a very strong message that we will not tolerate serious crimes of violence in our community. This is a peaceful and law-abiding area and we must all work together to keep it that way. There can be no reason on earth for anyone to be walking our streets carrying a knife with the intention of harming innocent people.”
